unlikely that there'll be beo3 or beo2 gets rewritten as html5. nothing on their website on new things.

Instead of waiting for the HTML5 version of beo3 or beo2, go to io games which is mostly HTML5 games. Some of these flash games have been ported to HTML5.

Moving to Steam was a bit of a stumble. Best part about BEO 1&2 was that anyone could pick up and play from any machine if they were at home / school / computer lab etc. To access BG through Steam you needed to install the client on the machine you're running which massively cut down the access people had to the game. Hindsight is always 20/20, but I can appreciate them making a go at it.
