A Poll Suggestion

RE: A Poll Suggestion
Why not have forced voting options to choose from. A list of around 15 or so different things to select to be listed as one of the voting options.

Already have a good start on some of the options to choose from.

Because the whole point of polls is to be able to create the options. Not all polls are created to check for agreement/disagreement — forced options lead you to questions where none of the poll options apply.
(This reminds me of some Pokémon games (in which the only answers they offer you to questions are yes and no), where they mock themselves by adding a question where these answers don't apply at all: http://i.imgur.com/2bkNoPD.png)

A better idea would be to create some standard poll options for suggestion threads, and just use them a lot. If almost everyone does things some way, most people won't do it a different way unless they had a really good reason to.

It's not that I fear in my own self-confidence, it's that the others fear in it.
