BEO Card Game
So I guess this is a suggestion, so let's get started shall we!
How cool would it be to have a BEO card game, something like pokemon or yugioh. The cards could be like the banners John made for us! Here is a rough design of how it would work. There would be 3-4 Levels Level 1,2,3, and maybe a 4th. These levels would represent how much HP and strong the attacks are. Level 1 hp is 10-30 Attack is 10-20 Level 2 hp is 30-50 Attack is 20-40 Level 3 hp is 50-70 Attack is 40-60 Maybe Even a 4th one or an Ultra one, hp is 70-100, Attack is 60-80 They could have certain prerequisites needed to summon them, like energy cards from pokemon or sacrificing from yugioh (just noticed I wrote youtube ![]() This is just a rough layout, but we could have stuff like map set ups, traps, all kinds of stuff, even weapons and everything. I just think it'd be awesome to go to the store and see BEO Card Packs and starter packs and all that, and be able to connect with people in real life who actually play the game. How cool would it be if one day you met a "legend" from just the card game, in real life! Let me know what you think, and please oh please, try to add on to this. EDIT: Hey There, new stuff! (This will cover the launch of the game up to the first week or so) Launch of the game The game coud run in beta for a week like done with beo2, giving people a chance with pro to save their username and squash bugs and give feedback. People that beta test the game could also be given a special card or a little bage or something to symbolize how you were there since the beta launch. Setup of account and game You make your account similar to how you do in beo2, username, password, email. You are then presented with three random generated card packs, each containing 40 cards. Each pack will contain 10 eggs 10 weapons and 20 chicken tokens (each varying from 1-7) Upon opening the pack, the player will look at all the cards and be explained what all they do. Then they will go through a simulated practice round, which will help them to get started on the game. After this, they can start matches with other people, maybe 2 players, 4 players, even 6. Gameplay The eggs will be described as like Vexis said, with attacks and Health, and chicken tokens. (06-23-2015 10:47 AM)Vexis Wrote: Each turn you get a Chicken Token. In order to play an Egg you will have to sacrifice Chickens. For example, if a smash attack took 2 chicken tokens, and you had a 5 chicken token card, you could use that card to use smash attack, then you would have 3 chicken tokens left on that card, and with this being on the web, it would be easy to calculate once the attack was made. If I have a 3 and a 2 card, I can combine to have 5. If I have a 6 or 7 card, I get one or two left over. You can only combine cards once per turn. Can only combine 2 cards, not 3 or more. The weapons are something I'm still in development of, but here is what I got so far. There could be basically every weapon we have in game, including dragon weapons, maybe make them rare cards! How it would work is, weapons require no chicken tokens, they are able to direct hit. For example, if in my hand I hold marv, king tut, a 2 chicken token, a 5 chicken token, and a bazooka... I can take the bazooka and directly attack my opponents say, grim, and deal 15 damage directly Also, in the same turn, until I play every single egg or all my chicken tokens and weapons, I can attack with one of my eggs So I can take king tut, and use Egyptian wrath for 40 damage and 5 chicken tokens, to the same egg or different. The game will end when a player loses all their weapons and eggs, chicken tokens left will not matter as they need eggs to have value. Also, on the weapons, a sidewinder could be used to do 40 to one egg, or 20 to 2 eggs. You can also have weapons like the Devils Hand be Random, and roll a die to determine the damage. For example 1 is 8 2 is 16 3 is 24 4 is 32 5 is 40 6 is 48 (credit for sidewinder idea to> Jach) After game After the game, xp can be calculated based on how much damage was done, and how many cards the player lost in the match. Maybe 10-30 xp per lost egg or weapon. Leveling up If you level up, you can unlock card packs, which you can open it get rare cards and awesome things. Card packs As mentioned above, you can have card packs for simple creds, like you win after a match, and "gold" creds, or something more premium you purchase with real money to get cooler cards. I'd hate to make it pay2win, so don't give major advantages this way, but just like weapon packs in beo2, this would follow the same concept, but with a bit of mystery. Cheers! New Material in Pink! ![]() ![]() ![]() It's not that I fear in my own self-confidence, it's that the others fear in it. ![]() |

Their respective animes might be dull and childish, but the card games require certain skill to build a strategy, not any person know how to play them, it can turn hard if you're not good at thinking. Plus as Laser said, these franchises are worth more, much more than BEO right now. Second, card games have existed for longer than most of the modern games today, so it's really not a copy. Its format is of public domain. It's ok if you don't like Laser's suggestion, but there's no need to be so mean to it. Even yourself, you created a mini-game which is exactly the same format as Whack-A-Mole, will you say that is not a copy? |

RE: BEO Card Game
I get what you are saying troll, but you have to admit you are being a little hard on the guy. You know he just has the 'idea' of it.
Easily solved. Any CCG gamer could play this, Each turn you get a Chicken Token. In order to play an Egg you will have to sacrifice Chickens. ![]() (and the #84 in the top right hand corner is the place that you can find that shell on the BEO forums as your avatar) |

I love the number where it relates to here, and the chicken token to help determine what can be played and when. Also, on the attacks, that is awesome on how you did it. We could even have holographics and everything should it become a thing and get big. Donkins could also run a promo like they did for mobile version, ship certain codes in the first month of the card game being released, buy it, and get a special shell for the game or something! ![]() ![]() ![]() It's not that I fear in my own self-confidence, it's that the others fear in it. ![]() |

RE: BEO Card Game
HELL YEAH! I gave you 5 stars bro. Love this idea, I'm not interested in Pokémon but I would be interested in this. And the weapon cards would look so cool. Each weapon could have different effect than just dealing damage, the sidewinder or grass cutter could attack 2 players at once, the heal would heal you, ice weapons could freeze the opponent so he cant play any cards for 1 turn, the dirt bomb could block him so he can play but can't attack, the fire and poison weapon would deal the poison and fire damage like in game, bloodsucker would suck hp from opponent and give it to you, arctic barrage would be something like mega ice and would freeze all opponents and there are much more weapons that'd look cool in the card game. And the shells would have special powers too, like Vexis said

RE: BEO Card Game
This is an awesome idea. John actually designed some BEO2 cards a while back (we're talking about a standard deck of cards though, not a separate game as you are describing). I'll get him to post some of the designs here. We looked into getting some cards printed but it was going to be pretty expensive.
And that's the biggest roadblock to this idea unfortunately. There are many many attempts to break into this sort of market and the only ones that succeed are the ones that have a huge amount of money and expertise behind them. It's not the sort of thing that could be accomplished by a two man team. The Ninth Realm was our attempt at a CCG in web game format but we soon found that even that requires a lot of money and marketing to pull off effectively. Even though I think it's an excellent game it sadly failed to perform. I think I know where it went wrong (lack of single player/decent tutorial elements, potentially games lasted too long, perhaps it was overcomplicated and required too steep a learning curve), but I think more than anything we just failed to get it in front of enough of the right people. In case you hadn't realised marketing is not one of our strong points and something we're reluctant to spend large amounts of money on for fear of simply throwing that money away. I would potentially be interested in making a simple online version of a card game like this. It ought to have much greater potential to take off than TNR since we would have an existing Bad Eggs fanbase to throw at it as well as the mistakes we've made to learn from. However, I can already see that such a project would be a very big undertaking and the failure of TNR has made us more cautious. Something to be thinking about though. I look forward to seeing more input on this thread. ![]() |

I have more ideas:
There could be a counter of experience. You'll be given xp by dealing damage and winning matches. When you get some amount of xp, you will gain some new card. The Donkins of course need money, so you could buy egg cards, weapon cards or chicken tokens for real money. There could be a pro too, so you'd get double xp, more chicken tokens, few new cards and pro settings: more hp for longer games, lower time for each turn and so on... Hope you like it. |
