Clan system
Start by saying that all online games have a clan system. Smiley_Smile

There is not much to say on this that is not self explanatory: have to replace the clan title with an invitation system/clan creation.

You can simply create a clan or join an existing one, by invitation. Nothing complicated, such as the permits within the clan(very useless thing in this game).

Finally, it would be very nice if there was also a chat to talk with members of own clan.

I know it's not easy to create this but i believe that it is possible and i really think that will greatly improve the game.

I would say that is enough.. let me know your opinion!

P.S= Sorry for my english Smiley_Tongue

RE: Clan system
This has been suggested before. I support the idea, and agree with you that it would improve the game.

By the way, your English is better than a lot of the people here.

I tried to use the button to search within the site but could not find anything about this topic.

Anyway, thanks for the compliment!

Quote:You'll notice that there are quite a lot of games that just use clan tags as a fun way to associate yourself, first person shooters for example. The reason these big AAA games don't regulate them is because there are just too many issues.
Who decides who gets to own a clan tag? What if the owner quits? What if all combinations are used? (Highly unlikely but an extreme example as since there's only 4 characters the potential combinations are finite)
It's honestly all a bit too messy for a game like Badeggs to be honest.

Unfortunately, it looks like the current clan system is as good as it will ever get. Smiley_Dead

RE: Clan system
As Macab said, this has been mentioned before a few times. The general consensus tends to be negative.

Off of the top of my head, one major problem which springs to mind is that one person would need to be designated as the leader of the clan. For already established clans with two or more leaders, this could be a problem. If the leader of a clan is banned or leaves for some reason, the rest of the clan would then be unable to recruit any more members.

There are also other issues which could affect present clans. How many well-known clan tags would be poached (pardon the pun) straight away, forcing long-standing clans to change their names?

A completely new system would also need to be developed in order to log and keep track of all registered clan tags, their leaders and players. Not to mention any additional functions which would be necessary to implement, such as a leader's ability to recruit new players.

Although the idea itself isn't bad, I just don't think it would be very easy to implement.

@ NaVeLmAfIaKiD

I apologize for having opened another topic but i had not find anything about it.

In any case, i disagree with the author of the quoted text.

I answer to his questions:

Who decides who gets to own a clan tag?
- In all other games, you choose a tag when creating the clan. If it is already occupied, you have to choose another.

What if the owner quits?
- In some games, the clan died and have to create an another one. In many others, however, after a time of inactivity automatically switches to an active member of the clan.

What if all combinations are used?
- It's really impossible. Darkorbit is a online game that uses the tag, if i remember correctly and don't have problem.

This is my opinion about it.

@ Tally

I have played many games and i never had these problems.

In a clan there may also be co-leader.

Being this is the first time BEO has actually used the clan system, i look at it as a test trial. BEO3 should have a more in-depth clan system.

RE: Clan system
I think BEO2 updates it will be like BEO3 just BEO2 with other updates
That i mean its maybe BEO3 will not come out adn BEO2 will have updates that BEO3 would have.

Of course you've never had these problems; the ideas haven't been implemented, so those problems wouldn't have occurred. Smiley_Tongue

A co-leader position could help with a couple of the issues, but not all of them.
