Transition from BE1 to BE2
Is there a way to get some of my expenses back from BE1 to be used on BE2? I see that BE1 is basically dead and even the forum is locked. I don't think that's very fair as I spent between 100 - 200 USD on all the weapons and several outfits. Some of the outfits are even reused in BE2. I don't see why I should have to pay credits for these again. It would be nice to be able to use the same account and have your stuff transferred to the new version.

RE: Transition from BE1 to BE2
As discussed on BEO1 and BEO2 forum, there will be no transferring of credits from each game. It is physically impossible for this to occur. If this was possible it would pose a giant loss of profit from the game creators, causing lack of funds. Thus less frequent tweaks and improvements to the newest addition of the platform BEO, BEO2. The more profit the Donkin brothers receive to help aid the games overall development, the more fun experiences we all can have on this ever improving game.

Here's some threads (On the BEO2 forum) that may help to clarify.

RE: Transition from BE1 to BE2
Okay, thanks for the fast reply.
That's such a shame for me though (and I'm sure others who spent money on the first one).
R.I.P BEO1... I will play you BEO2 but not sure I will spend any money.

RE: Transition from BE1 to BE2
Echo pretty much nailed it. The biggest recoup was during the beta period and some people weren't aware of that promo. I spent money on the original and loved how it directly supported game development. That hasn't changed and I won't deny that I debated making purchases, but I did to promote development of this incarnation and of any future versions of BEO. The loss of everything that we had in BEO1 will always affect us, and perhaps the best way to think about it is with other games and their sequels. The best example that we can give is the CoD franchise; with each new game comes new weapons and DLC that you have to purchase to promote development of both DLC and the next game in the series, that same principle applies here.
